(CNN)-- The business at the center of a dangerous meningitis break out was cautioned by its very own ecological displays of bacterial contamination of its center months before the first cases were reported, a government report said Friday. Mold, and in some cases, an overgrowth of germs was spotted in different areas of the New England Compounding Center's two "clean rooms" nearly 90 times because January, the Food and Drug Administration report said. Clean rooms are intended to be sterile environments where drugs are produced. FDA warns higher-risk clients amid meningitis break out In spite of the cautions from its very own displays, the FDA report says the compounding center did not investigate the reports of the contamination nor is there %%PRO10%%ed evidence it worked to sterilize the afflicted areas.
